Karwar: Karwar educational district has delivered an outstanding performance in the SSLC Examination 2026, securing the 3rd rank in the state with an impressive 98.09% pass percentage.
The result reflects the district’s consistent academic excellence and the dedicated efforts of students, teachers, and school administrations.
Out of 199 high schools in the district, 134 schools achieved 100% results, including 47 government, 39 aided, and 48 unaided schools, highlighting a strong and balanced academic performance across all education sectors.
Among taluks, Honnavar topped the district with 99.08%, followed by Bhatkal (98.63%), Ankola (97.78%), Kumta (97.65%), and Karwar (97.25%).
In category-wise performance, unaided schools led with 99.47%, followed by government schools at 98.61%, and aided schools at 96.69%, contributing significantly to the district’s overall success.
A total of 25 students from the distict secured ranks between 2nd and 10th at the state level, while 49 students featured in the Top-10 list, marking a remarkable achievement in statewide academic performance.
Student Performance Highlights
In the Kannada medium, students of Karnataka Public School, Bhatkal excelled with outstanding scores. Sanika Bailur secured the highest with 99.36%, followed by Varshita Shivakumar Naik (99.20%) and Yogendra Venkatesh Naik (98.88%), reflecting consistent academic excellence.

In the Urdu medium, students of Al-Muminat Public School, Manki (Honnavar Taluk) delivered excellent results. Shada Tabrez Shabandri secured 96.32%, followed by Azka Mohammed Haneef Alji (95.36%) and Ziyafa Sawood Muktesar (95.04%), showcasing strong academic performance.

In the English medium, remarkable achievements were recorded by Dishant Dayanand Naik (Dr. A. V. Baliga English Medium School, Kumta) with 99.84%, Bhargav Jayarama Hegde (Colaba Vithob Shanbhag Kalbagkar High School, Kumta) with 99.36%, and Pratham Nagaraj Naik (Anand Ashram Convent High School, Bhatkal) with 99.20%.
