Karwar: Shivprakash Devaraju has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Uttara Kannada district. 

The incumbent, Vinayak Patil, who was serving as the Superintendent of Police in Uttara Kannada has been transferred as Superintendent of Police in Kalaburgi.

Mr. Vinayak Patil served in Uttara Kannada district from January 2017.

Shivprakash hails from Andhra Pradesh and is the 2014 IPS batch officer.
