Mangaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara visited the site of the new district prison under construction near Mudipu-Kurnadu in Dakshina Kannada on Friday and reviewed the progress of the project.
The minister inspected the partially completed structure and obtained detailed updates from the officials overseeing the work. He directed them to ensure that construction is completed swiftly and with high quality standards.
Emphasizing the importance of security, Dr. Parameshwara instructed that the new prison complex must be equipped with advanced security systems, including a well-secured perimeter wall.
Divyashree, DIG of Prisons, briefed the minister during the inspection.
MLAs Ashok Kumar Rai, Manjunath Bhandari, Ivan D’Souza, and Director General of Police M.A. Saleem were also present during the visit.
