Nakhuda Milan' Event Unites Community in Dubai, Organized Successfully by Parwasi Nakhuda Shirur

Dubai: The Pravasi Nakhuda Shiruru community, a Konkani-speaking Muslim group originating from Shiruru in Udupi district, organized a large socio-family friends get-together at Al Rashidiya Park, Dubai, UAE on March 3, 2024. The event celebrated the vibrant cultural heritage of the Nakhuda community and included a variety of sports and activities. Around 200 Nakhuda community members from across the UAE participated in the successful event.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by delegate registration until Asr. Sports competitions were held from Asr to Maghrib, with separate categories for children, women, and men.

Presiding over the event, Maulana Javed Nadvi underscored the significance of collective efforts, community service, and strategic planning for future endeavors. He also drew attention to the upcoming arrival of Ramadan, slated to begin on March 11 or 12.

Ramadan holds significant spiritual significance for Muslims worldwide, marked by fasting from dawn to sunset, abstaining from food and drink throughout daylight hours.

At the conclusion of the 'Nakhuda Milan' ceremony, Iqtidar Alam Alji elaborated on the objectives of the Parwasi Nakhuda Shiruru Committee. Convenor Anwar Arafat extended gratitude, and the program concluded with a Yaseen makle prayer, hosted by Noor Islam Honge.

Ladies and kids participated in various fun games and activities, and all winners and participants were honored with prizes and special gifts for the children. In the late evening, community members gathered at the podium to discuss ideas and thoughts for socio-welfare, fostering connections, and strengthening brotherly bonds. Each member shared their perspectives, making it an excellent and fruitful discussion. Dinner was served, featuring a homemade special Nakhuda Biryani and sweet dishes.

Senior members, as well as all community members, expressed their joy and gratitude, sharing emotions and extending thanks to the event organizers: Yaseen makle, Shahid  Kurdi, Yaseer Bikba, Iqtidar Alji, Ejaz Shams, Maktoum Bomba, Javeed Rehman, Ashfaq Kawa, Islam Honge, Muktar Makle, and Anwer T Moosa. Yasin Mukde, Anwar Arafat, Shahid Kurdi, and Yasir Bakba played pivotal roles in the event's organization. Ejaz Shams, Makhdoom Bomba, and Anwar Arafat managed registration, while game events were supervised by Ashfaq Kawa, Anwar Arafat, and Mukhtar Makde.
