Karwar: Karavali Utsav 2025 to be held from Dec 22–28; Publicity drive intensified, says Deputy Secretary Alla Bakhsh

Karwar: Deputy Secretary of the Zilla Panchayat and President of the Karavali Utsav Publicity Committee, Alla Bakhsh, stated that the initiatives of the publicity committee will play a decisive role in ensuring the successful conduct of Karavali Utsav 2025, scheduled to be held from December 22 to 28 at the Ravindranath Tagore Sea View in Karwar.

He urged committee members to work in close coordination, discharge their entrusted responsibilities with discipline, and undertake extensive publicity efforts to guarantee maximum public participation.

He was speaking while presiding over the meeting of the Karavali Utsav 2025 Publicity Committee held on Thursday at the Keswan Hall of the District Panchayat.

Alla Bakhsh instructed that the festival should be publicised widely through television, radio, and print media, and that flex boards, posters, and banners must be printed and displayed across all taluk headquarters, prominent public locations, tourist spots, and bus stands throughout the district to ensure that the public is well informed and encouraged to attend in large numbers.

For effective promotion on social media, he directed the committee to prepare and circulate promotional content, including highlight reels from previous Karavali Utsav editions, artist promos, and publicity materials featuring the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, the district-in-charge minister, all elected representatives, and officials.

He further instructed the members to prepare radio jingles about the festival and take measures to broadcast them through sanitation vehicles operating in urban and rural areas, as well as through public audio systems installed at bus stands.

Publicity Committee Secretary and District Information Officer B. Shivakumar said that if the various committees formed for Karavali Utsav 2025 regularly share updates on their respective activities, the publicity committee will be able to provide this information to the print and electronic media, thereby ensuring widespread public outreach.

The meeting was attended by Mangalgouri Bhat, Deputy Director, Tourism Department; Mangala Naik, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture Department; Sanjeev Naik, President of the District Government Employees’ Association; Raghavendra Naik, Police Inspector, Social Media Division; representatives from various media organisations; and several others.
