In response to media inquiries after filing her nomination, Dr. Nimbalkar clarified that saffron symbolizes sacrifices made during India's freedom struggle, appearing in both the national and Congress party flags. She criticized the BJP for misrepresenting saffron's historical significance.

Expressing dismay over the lack of development in the constituency over the past decade, she condemned BJP's regionalist rhetoric, urging a focus on constitutional rights. She challenged critics to gain a better understanding of the Constitution's essence and the nation's history.

Dr. Nimbalkar addressed issues of birth and religion, emphasizing that individuals do not choose their place of birth or religious identity.

Regarding the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES), advocating for the integration of Nippani and Belgaum into Maharashtra, she affirmed her support for the Congress party's stance on this matter. She clarified her lack of personal bias towards the MES movement, respecting their constitutional right to advocacy.

In her closing statements, Dr. Nimbalkar highlighted the importance of balanced development and environmental conservation in areas like Khanapur. She pledged to promote sustainable tourism and address local concerns such as land encroachment and healthcare infrastructure deficiencies.

The event also saw the attendance of former minister RV Deshpande, MLA Satish Sail from Karwar, MLA Bhimanna Naik from Sirsi, and Uttara Kannada district in-charge Minister Mankal Vaidya.
