Chamarajanagar: Four boys killed in scooter-lorry-car collision

Chamarajanagar: In a tragic road accident, four minor boys were killed when the scooter they were riding collided with a lorry and a car on the Outer Ring Road near Galeepura in Chamarajanagar on Saturday night, police and hospital sources confirmed on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Mehran (13), Adnan Pasha (9), Rayan (8), and Faizal (11), all residents of Chamarajanagar.

According to police, the boys were on an outing along the national highway stretch connecting to Karivaradaraja Hill when the scooter was caught between a car heading towards Tamil Nadu and a lorry approaching Chamarajanagar. The impact was severe, crushing the two-wheeler completely.

Mehran died on the spot, while the other three sustained critical injuries. They were initially rushed to SIMS Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Mysuru. Despite efforts by doctors, Adnan Pasha, Rayan, and Faizal succumbed to their injuries on Sunday. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted before handing over the bodies to the families.

Police have registered a case at the Chamarajanagar Traffic Police Station and are investigating.
