Bidar: A district-level quarterly progress review (KDP) meeting in Bidar witnessed high drama on Monday after a heated argument between Humnabad MLA Siddu Patil and Legislative Council Member (MLC) Bhimrao Patil escalated into a physical scuffle.

According to media reports, the incident occurred at the district panchayat hall during the KDP meeting chaired by District In-charge Minister Eshwar Khandre. Trouble began at the very start of the meeting when a layout-related issue was raised, leading to a verbal altercation between the MLA and the MLC. The exchange soon turned ugly, with both leaders allegedly hurling abuses at each other and moving towards a physical confrontation.

Police officials and others present at the venue intervened promptly and managed to separate the two, preventing the situation from worsening. In view of the incident, District In-charge Minister Eshwar Khandre adjourned the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Minister Rahim Khan, Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Girish Bodhale, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti, and several other district-level officers from various departments.
