Bhatkal student receives National Prerna Doot Award for social activism during education

Bhatkal: Shifa Muskan, daughter of Mohammed Nasir Saukur and a resident of Bhatkal's Usman Nagar, studying at Yenepoya University in Mangalore, was honored with the National Prerna Doot Award 2023-24 at a program held in Chapra, Bihar, organized by Face of Future India. She received the award for her dedication to educating people about social issues and her active involvement in various social service activities during her studies.

The National Prerna Doot Award is part of a national youth exchange program organized by the youth social team Face of Future India, aimed at recognizing and promoting social workers across India. The program encourages individuals to contribute to education, advocate for blood donations, and raise awareness against social evils. The award ceremony, held on February 3, honored 30 social workers from different states across India, including Ayesha Muskan from Bhatkal, Karnataka.

Tabssum, Ayesha Muskan's mother, mentioned that her daughter, currently a second-year student of BBA Aviation and Logistics, actively participates in various social activities within the college. This includes involvement in blood donation camps, medical camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, beach cleaning drives, and visits to orphanages, old age homes, and ashrams. She also excels in her academic pursuits.

Various social activists and members of social organizations congratulated the student, Muskan, and expressed their best wishes for her achievement in being awarded the National Prerna Doot Award.
