Bhatkal: Sahil Malik, S/o Sartaj Malik, secured the most prestigious academic award of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS), Bhatkal for the year 2025–26, while Mohammed Naeem, S/o Nasir Bangali, and Mohammed Naban, S/o Abdul Majeed Sarleshwar, were declared the runners-up. The announcement was made during the school’s 85th annual gathering held on Thursday, December 11, at the Usman Hassan Hall.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by student Abdul Qadir, followed by a Naat presented by another student, Mubarak Jafar Namazi. Saadullah Ruknuddin, Secretary of the High School Board of Anjuman, delivered the welcome address, while school teacher Dr. Abdul Hafeez introduced the guests. Atif Qazi and his team presented the school song. Headmaster Noor Muhammad delivered the annual report, giving a comprehensive overview of the school’s performance, achievements, and progress throughout the academic year.
On this occasion, students who excelled in various literary competitions, sports events, and co-curricular activities were honoured with prizes and awards.
The programme was presided over by Yunus Kazia, President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal. The event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by school teacher Arifuz Zaman. Anjuman Vice-President Mohammed Sadiq Pillur and other members, including Yaseen Askari, were also present.
