Bhatkal: A remarkable and commendable programme titled ‘Namma Oota’ (Our Meal) was successfully organized at Sneha Special School and Training Centre in Bhatkal on Wednesday. The event was jointly conducted by Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce College Bhatkal, the Uttara Kannada NSS Unit, and Sahil Online Media.
The objective of the programme was to promote the spirit of humanity, compassion, and social service within society. The children enjoyed the meal in a joyful and cheerful atmosphere, while the organizers ensured that each child was served with care and affection.
The event was coordinated under the supervision of Professor Mohammed Yusuf Kola, Principal of Anjuman College, and Mubashir Hussain Hallare, General Secretary of the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Kola said, “Helping underprivileged and special children is a noble human duty, and such initiatives help strengthen the values of kindness and empathy in society.”

Mubashir Hussain Hallare informed that this was the third edition of the Namma Oota series, aimed at spreading happiness among children while promoting the spirit of service and goodwill.
The programme saw active participation from NSS Officer Damor Naik, Professor B.H. Nadaf, Manjunath Prabhu, Umesh Mesta, K. Kalimulla, Mrs. Purnima, and Mrs. Famina Fatima, along with several other faculty members and NSS volunteers.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all individuals and institutions who contributed to the success of the programme, particularly for their cooperation in food arrangements.
