Bhatkal: Outstanding student Elaf S/o Raees Farooqui has been selected for the prestigious Viqar-e-Anjuman Gold Medal Award, while the Runner-up honours were announced for Mohammed Jasim S/o Umer Javed Tonse and Mohammed Sayyan S/o Hussain Shabbir Pote. The announcement was made during the Annual Gathering of Anjuman Boys’ (English Medium) High School, held on Tuesday at the school campus. It is said that the awards will be formally presented on December 13, during the first day of the Anjuman Day celebrations.

The Chief Guest, Maulana Abdul Mateen Muniri, former General Secretary of Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat Dubai and a well-known historian of Bhatkal, addressed the gathering. He spoke on the importance of education coupled with proper training, morals, and character-building, offering valuable advice to the students.

Students who excelled in various literary and sports competitions were also honoured with prizes during the ceremony.

The programme was presided over by the President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Mr. Mohammed Yunus Qazia. It commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Muhammed Nuh Sada, followed by a Naat presentation by Muhammed Hasan Damda Abu. Fahad Ajaib welcomed the gathering, while Tahira Muhammed Muzammil introduced the Chief Guest.

Headmaster Hafiz Abdullah Ruknuddin presented the Annual Report, offering a comprehensive review of the school’s academic activities, achievements, and progress over the past year. The programme also featured a spirited rendition of the Tarana-e-Anjuman by Musanna and team. A formal vote of thanks was delivered by school teacher Mohiddin Sufiyan, marking the conclusion of the event.

The function was attended by Anjuman General Secretary Mr. Ishaque Shabandri, Vice Presidents Mr. Sadique Pillur and Dr. Zubair Kola, High School Board Secretary Mr. Sadullah Ruknuddin, Primary Board Secretary Mr. Afaque Mohtesham, and executive members of Anjuman.
