Bhatkal: An art competition aimed at promoting traffic and road safety awareness will be held on November 30 at the Tree Park on Sagar Road. The event is being organised by the Bhatkal Town Police in collaboration with the youth-led organisation S-Arts, and is open to students, youth, and the general public.
Speaking to reporters, Bhatkal Town Police Inspector Diwakar said the competition will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM. He explained that the aim is to spread awareness on road safety, helmet use, and adherence to traffic rules through creative artwork. Special prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners, while certificates will be presented to all participants by senior police officials.
Mohammed Saalim, representing S-Arts, said participants can convey positive messages on road safety and traffic regulations through their paintings. Interested individuals can register by scanning the QR code available on the event poster.
Other members — Shabbir Ajaib, Sulaim Jubapu, and officials from the police department — have urged the public to participate in large numbers and contribute to spreading awareness about road safety.
