Karwar: The Directorate of Minorities, in collaboration with Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), has established a regional center at Haj Bhavan in Bengaluru to facilitate higher education for minority students through distance learning.
Applications are invited from eligible students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, and Parsi communities for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses (totaling 69 programs). The directorate will cover admission and examination fees (either annual or semester-based).
Eligibility: Applicants must be Karnataka residents, have an annual family income of less than ₹8 lakh, and should not be employed in government service or enrolled in any other regular course. They must also meet the minimum educational qualifications set by the university.
