Mangaluru: The Department of Fisheries has invited applications from eligible fishermen without permanent housing in Dakshina Kannada district under the ‘Matsyashraya’ housing scheme. A total of 200 houses will be allotted as part of the initiative.
According to a press release issued by the Deputy Director of Fisheries, eligible beneficiaries are required to submit their applications along with the necessary documents to the office of the Assistant Director of Fisheries located within the Zilla Panchayat premises at Urva Store in Mangaluru, or to the Assistant Director's office at the Puttur Taluk Panchayat.
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance for the construction of homes for homeless fishermen.
