Karwar: The organisations and social activists in Uttara Kannada district continued to demand thorough probe into the suicide of deputy superintendent of police Ganpathi.
Following the suicide of the senior police officer, harassment and other related issues in the department came in the open for discussion.
The Aam Aadmi Party activist, on Monday submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul demanding CBI probe into the suicide case of DySP Ganapthi who had hanged himself in a lodge at Madikeri recently.
The activists demanded that minister KJ George should submit his resignation since his name was being heard in the case and police officers AM Prasad and Pranab Mohanty who were accused of harassing the police officer should be suspended and also urged for the protection of all the government officers.
They alleged that the law and order situation in the State is in turmoil as the government had been neglecting the problems.
Aam Aadmi Party leaders Nagraj Shet, Sayyed Yakub, Nagraj S Shet and others were present.
