Lokayukta traps FDA red-handed
Karwar: A First Division Assistant (FDA) at Sub Registrarís office was nabbed by Lokayukta on wednesday while allegedly taking bribe.
Sources said that the accused officer has been identified as M M Ghanti.
According to sources, Mr Ghanti had demanded bribe of Rs 2,500 from Alvekodi Gram Horata Samithi President Praveenkumar in connection with the registration of the Samithi. Since, Praveenkumar did not want to give the bribe, he approached Lokayukta police and lodged a compliant.
Registering the complaint, the Lokayukta police conducted a raid and caught FDA M M Ghanti red-handedly.
