Former Karnataka Ranji captain Yere Goud retires
Bangalore: Former Karnataka and Railways Ranji Captain Yere Goud today announced his retirement from first class cricket.
The 41-year-old Goud made his debut for Karnataka against Hyderabad in 1994-95 season at Bijapur.
Hailing from Raichur district, he used to travel for four years to attend coaching in Bangalore. He had captained for 12 matches and won four, lost two, five were drawn and one ended without result.
He had amassed 7,650 runs in 134 matches and had average of 45.53 with 16 centuries. He has to his credit 39 fiftees and 61 catches. His highest score was 221 playing for Railway Ranji against Maharashtra in 2000-01.
