Dubai: The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that Friday, October 26, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha. Tuesday was the 30th day of Dhu Al Qa’da and Wednesday is the first day of Dhu Al Hijja, the court said in a statement.

The Supreme Court said that Thursday, October 25, will be Arafat Waqfa Day, and Friday, October 26 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha.

-The new moon of Dhu Al Hijja was not sighted on Monday by two trusted witnesses, and thus Tuesday is the 30th day of Dhu Al Qa’da, and Wednesday, October 17, will mark the beginning of the lunar month of Dhu Al Hijja,- the statement said.
