Puducherry: Seventeen children travelling to school in an autorickshaw were injured when the vehicle turned turtle after being hit in the rear by a bus, police said.

While two injured children were admitted to hospital, the other children and the autorickshaw driver were treated as outpatients and discharged, they said.

The mishap occurred when the bus going ahead of the autorickshaw stopped suddenly and the auto following it was hit in the rear by another bus going to the terminus. Pedestrians near the bus terminal rushed the injured children to hospital, police said.
