Salem (TN): A 23-year old trainee pilot and his lover, both hailing from Kerala, allegedly committed suicide here today upset over their families' opposition to their relationship, police said.

Kunjunee, a trainee pilot at an aviation academy at Kamalapuram airport here, and 22-year old Josh Anne belonging to a village near Mullakal were in love but their parents opposed it.

Anne, a nursing trainee in Bangalore, had come to Salem and stayed with Kunjunee since last few days. As their room remained locked, neighbours alerted police who broke open it and found the duo dead. Police said the couple had consumed some poison mixing it with softdrink.
