Bangalore: A Lokayukta Court today adjourned to October 24 hearing on a private complaint filed by a Bangalore-based industrialist accusing Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani of being involved in a land scam.
Special Judge N K Sudhindra Rao adjourned the hearing on the plea filed by Alam Basha yesterday against Nirani and nine others which alleged that they had illegally denotified lands acquired by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) for industrial purposes.
Nirani allegedly illegally denotified 20 acres at Huvinayakanahalli in Devanahalli taluk and seven acres at Dobbspet in Nelamagala taluk, Basha said in his complaint.
According to Basha, Nirani approved denotification of 20 acres in survey numbers 124, 125 and 126 at Hoovinayakanahalli which was in government's possession for a hardware project.
