Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar today assured that the state government will act with an 'iron hand' against the perpetrators of attack on youth, including girls, who had gathered for a party in a home stay in port city of Mangalore, about 350 km from here.
Speaking to reporters, he said he had ordered the police to take immediate action and arrest all those who were involved in the attack last night.
Condemning the attack on the youth, who had gathered for a birthday party in the home-stay accommodation in Padilu area on the outskirts of Mangalore, he said the government will not spare anyone who take law in their hands.
Over 25 activists belonging to Hindu Jagarna Vedike (HJV) raided on the home-stay and beat up 14 youths, including four girls, who had assembled for a birthday party at 1900 hrs on saturday. Accusing them of indulging in rave party, they beat them up, tore dresses of some of them and held them hostage till the police arrived three hours later.
