Mangalore: -I will follow the directions of the BJP high command and manage any responsibility given to me,- former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Monday.
Visiting his home constituency in Puttur for the first time after resigning, he revealed that his best moment as Chief Minister was the implementation of Sakala scheme and the worst was the sudden death of Dr. V S Acharya.
On whether he would contest from Puttur constituency, he said that the party had decided to issue tickets to a sitting MLA. Thus there is no question of contesting from Puttur, he clarified.

On why he did not initiate any action against rebel MLAs, he replied that it was the responsibility of high command. -I had complained many times about their behavior. Even L K Advani praised my administration. Advani revealed that my resigning was the worst day in his political life. This compliment is enough for me and I left with a sense of fulfillment,- he said.
He received a rousing welcome from BJP leaders like MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Deputy Speaker in Assembly N Yogish Bhat and MLA Mallika Prasad among others. A huge crowd which had collected at Gundya, Nelyadi and Uppinangady, gave him a rousing welcome. He was accompanied by his wife Datty and son Karthik.
