Bhatkal: The Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated tomorrow on Friday 26th of October, in Bhatkal, Udupi, Mangalore, Kerala along with Gulf countries, whereas, at other places it is announced to be on Saturday.

At Bhatkal, the Eid-ul-Adha congregation will be performed at the Eidgah at 7.45 am, lead by Moulana Abdul Bari Nadwi. The procession towards Eidgah for the Eid prayer will begin from Jamia Masjid at 6.45 am. All the Muslims are hereby appealed to participate in the procession to reach Eidgah.

At Murdeshwar and Manki, the Eid congregations will be held at the respective Eidgahs at 8am.

Like all the other things, this year, even the prices for the animals have hiked to such an extent that the common man is finding it difficult to perform the religious obligation. Whereas on the other hand, it is seen in Bhatkal, that there is competition among some people in getting the high prized animals. This unfortunately nullifies the main intention behind the obligation.
