Bhatkal: As the part of the nationwide campaign by the PFI captioned -Why Popular Front?- which began from October 10 in Karnataka, the PFI conducted corner meetings across Shiruru on Monday, October 22nd. These witnessed active participation with a mass public gathering. The main reason behind these meetings was to deal with the usage of PFI.

Accourding to the organizers, Popular Front of India is an organization with an aim of all round empowerment of the deprived communities, especially Muslims who are backward in educational, economic, social and political fields. The organization is creating awareness among youth, organizing them and striving hard to restore the rights of marginalized and oppressed communities.
It futther said that Popular Front of India is also actively involved in the field of social service and it always ready with its help at the time of need.
The campaign will conclude on 10th November, 2012, it was informed.
The corner meetings were spread out across the Shiruru of Udupi dist and covered the areas of Shiruru like Kesarkodi, Gousiya Mohalla, Momin Mohalla and Shiruru Bazar.
