Bhatkal: The people of Bhatkal Nagappa Naik Road switched to a sudden protest on Friday evening with the demand of immediate attention over the inappropriate drainage system in their area.

Looking at the rage of the people, the TMC president Inayatullah Shabandari reached the protest spot and listened to the public problems. The area people gheraod him and bombarded him with the questions regarding the negligence of the concerned authorities over the issue.

Presenting their problems, it was said that public were facing the drainage problems from many years, the deadly snakes were getting entry into the town along with the rain water, but not even a single public representative was coming forward to solve the concerned problem. ‘The representatives only cheat the people with their fake promises’, alleged the enraged public.





Listening to all the public problems, the TMC President said that they need to spent corers of rupees just to start the work of zone number one of that particular area. In spite of the delay from the government in providing the funds, the town municipality has given the priority to the issue all by itself, he said. He tried to satisfy the public with his replies and appealed for their co-operation in solving the problem.
