Sirsi: A youth reportedly committed suicide in Sirsi due to love failure on Sunday. He is identified as Tej Goindrai Gowda (24), a resident of Shriram Colony Sirsi.

The sources revealed that the guy was in love with a girl from Ramanbel from past one year and had also proposed her. But unfortunately the girl rejected his proposal. Unable to take the rejection, the boy was under mental disturbance from past sometime.

Today, the guy hanged himself from the water tank which is located at the centre place of Sirsi. It was told that as he hanged himself, he fell from the top of the tank such that he got struck to sharp ends of the grill of entrance gate of the tank compound. It was a very pathetic site for the viewers to see. A huge crowd had gathered at the incident spot to witness the mishap. It took lot of efforts for the police to de-lodge the body from the gate grills.

A case has been registered at Sirsi Police station.
