Bhatkal: As per the information, the Association for providing legal awareness and the Lok Adalat reached Bhatkal on Friday and arranged a Legal Awareness Camp here. The camp was jointly organized under the banner of Committee of Law Service, Lawyer’s Association, Tahsildar, Taluka Panchayat, Educational Department, the Police Department, the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Laborer’s Association and few other departments.
The program was inaugurated by the Civil Judge Minakshi Ba at the Urban Bank Hall. Addressing the audience, she said that it was very important to create legal awareness among the people to maintain peace. It brings confidence into the day to day affairs of the people.

Higher Civil Judge Reshma Roadrex, Additional Judge Nitin Rao and the Bhatkal Tahsildar Madhukeshwar also provided information on legal awareness.
As a monographist, the advocate SB Bomayya, in his address said that it was must for the people to know about their legal duties, along with the legal rights. He said that in today’s era, the people are associated with illegal gestures like bribing etc, in spite of having legal awareness, and this is a high time we look into our own affairs and judge ourselves.
The Bhatkal AC Ram Prasad Manohar, President of Lawyer’s Association GT Naik, Member of CDPO Jayshree Naik and others were present on the dice.
Advocate Shankar Naik welcomed the guests and Advocate MJ Naik presented the vote of thanks.
