Bhatkal: The Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal Mr. Ram Prasad Manohar visited Manki of Honnaver Taluk on Thursday as a response to the complaint which was put forward by the people of Manki, by presenting a memorandum to the AC, regarding the deteriorating conditions of the Manki raod. He personally supervised all the areas which were mentioned in the complaint and expressed his concern over the situation, after noticing the bad conditions of roads and also the tons of litter on the street which were left unattended. He questioned the concerned officers regarding the negligence and gave them strict orders regarding the same.
He visited the places like Ismail Colony, Al-Hilal Street, Basha Colony, Nawayath Mohalla and various other roads. He also visited Al-Hilal School and observed the conditions there. People complained to him as to how the water collected in the potholes on the road make it difficult for the school going children to walk to the school every day and also that these children had to pass the streets which were full of garbage strewn at all places.
The AC assured the locals that he would surely take their issues into consideration and try to solve all their problems at the earliest.
Bhatkal social worker Faiyaz Mulla, Moulana Shakeel Ahmed Sukri and other jamat members, Sawda Muhammed Moula, tahsildar RS Hegde, officer BR Naik, panchayat member Pawar Naik along with many others were present.
