Bhatkal: Today’s downpour brought the much needed relief to the people of Bhatkal who were fed-up with the continuous scorching heat from a past few days. The hot and humid temperature along with the frequent power cut-offs has made it impossible for the people of town to stay in peace.

Every year the month of October witnesses a great deal of the cold weather, but this year, to the public dismay, the temperature shot up immediately after the lapse of rains in the month of September which worried the people to great extent. But today’s showers proved to be the answer to the public prayers and the public took a breath of relief when the weather turned pleasant to some extent as the temperature stepped down to a few degrees.
