Bhatkal: The Anjuman College of Education (B.Ed) celebrated their 5th Annual Day here at the College Function hall on 18th of September.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. S K Melakar, Department of Kannada Research Institute, Karnatak University, Dharwad said that the teacher-student relationship was very important. The communication between a student and a teacher serves as a connection between the two, which provides a better atmosphere in the college environment. ‘Of course a teacher won’t be able to solve each problem of every student in the classroom, but he/she surely will provide enough information for those students who are struggling with specific tasks’, he said.
Guest of Honour, Prof Vidya Devidas Nayak, Principal First Grade Government College, Ankola said that the Constitution, in a way, make the citizens aware of their core rights and responsibilities through the articles dealing with the fundamental rights and duties. She also opined that the teachers should play an important role to develop the country with their all efforts.
Prizes were distributed to the participants of various competitions and the class toppers. The Best students of the year award were given to Naila Akhtar Momin from English Section and Prashanth Hegde from Kannada Section.
The function began with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by Miss Shams Tazain, Heena and party recited Naat, Rafiya & group presented Tarana-e-Anjuman, Miss Radhika welcomed the guests, Principal Mrs Sayeeda Anjum K delivered a brief annual report, while Heena Anjum delivered the vote of thanks.
Anjuman Vice-President Kasimiji Mohammed Ansar presided over the function.
On the occasion, College Board Secretary Dr. Syed Saleem was also present.
