Bhatkal: Three persons have been seriously injured in a road accident when two bikes collided with each other here at Ranginkatta, at around 10.30pm tonight.

The injured have been identified as Ganapati Devadiga(26), Ishwar Devadiga (28) and Muhammed Rayyan Jukaku (18). They were initially taken to the Bhatkal Government Hospital for treatment. Later Ganapati and Ishwar were shifted to Manipal and Rayyan was taken to Mangalore for the further treatment.

Ganapati and Ishwar are the residents of Bhatkal Mundalli and Rayyan resides at the main road.

The condition of Ganapati Devadiga is said to be very critical.




According to Rayyan, he was on his way from Nawayath Colony to the downtown, when his bike got hit by another bike from behind.

A huge crowd had gathered on the accident scene.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station.
