Bhatkal: The strike called by different unions of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Thursday affected commuters and students in Bhatkal. The buses were not played even on Friday and the bus stand was on deserted looks.

People were seen cursing the striking employees for the inconvenience caused and Patients, employees and students had to bore the brunt of the strike. Local youths were playing cricket at the bus stand on Friday evening.

The police had made security arrangement during the protest to thwart the bandh call given by KSRTC unions.

City buses were off the roads in and long-distance buses were cancelled. Maxi cabs were cashed in on the strike.
