A political party needs support from all sections of the society under a democratic set up. Similarly, the BJP has given due importance to women wing. Women workers of the party have been playing decisive role in getting success of the party candidates in various elections. Most of the women in the State had been supporting BJP for its pro-women stand and this has proved a big asset to the party, Mr Kageri stated.
BJP National Women Morcha Secretary Victoria Gouri said, the party has won heart of the people across the country for its wonderful performance at the Centre during NDA government term, and in many States, where the party is in power, it has been striving to provide the best administration.
The party accorded equal status to all sections of the society, and the State women wing has set a model for others, she lauded.

Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Vimala Gowda, State Women wing President Reena Prakash, Balbhavan President Sulochana Bhat, Dr Leela, Bharati Magdum, Suvarna Shankar, Prasad Karwarkar, Madhushri and others were present.

‘Work for party’s success’

Addressing the executive committee meeting, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Vimala Gowda called upon the party office-bearers and workers to work for success of the party and
they would get due recognition.
-There is no stuff in the argument that the party has not given posts in boards and corporations. After the government was formed under the leadership of B S Yeddyurappa, many pro-women programmes have been launched in the State. The party workers should create awareness about these programmes in the society-, she suggested.
