Karwar: Activists of the CPI (M) took out a protest rally in Karwar on Sunday, against the attack on young men and women at a house in Mangalore.
Protestors raised slogans against the Hindu Jagrana Vedike (HJV), which is accused of being responsible for the attack.
Shantaram Nayak and Yamuna Gaonkar strongly condemn the attack and alleged that the State Government led by the BJP was hesitating to take action against the attackers. They demanded a ban on vedike.
-The HJV activists had taken law into their hands. The protest in Karwar is only symbolic. If the Government failed to take action against the attackers the agitation will be intensified,- they warned.
CPI (M) office-bearers Shyamnatha Naik, B. H. Naik, Savitha Tanmadagi, and Rajani Habbu were present.
