Bhatkal: A fisherman was drowned in the Arabian Sea on Friday evening who was identified as Govind Narayan Kharvi (55) from Bunder, Mavinkurve village, Bhatkal.

His body was found on the beach at Paduvari, Shiroor, under Byndoor police station limit.

It is said that Govind went for fishing at noon on Friday, but his boat got caught in the strong wind in the sea and capsized.

The body was shifted to Byndoor Govt hospital for post mortem and later handed over to thier family members.

A case of unnatural death has been registered in Byndoor police station.
