Bhatkal:Three auto rickshaws have been reportedly damaged when a huge tree fell on them at the auto stand of Bhatkal railway station. The tree fell as a result of heavy rains and strong winds which started at around 1pm today afternoon. The news of trees being uprooted at many other places in the town was also received due to winds.





Luckily, all the three auto drivers had been for their lunch during the particular time which saved them from the accident.

The name of persons whose auto rickshaws were damaged are as follows: Yogesh Narayan Devadiga, venkat Raman Subraya Naik and Timappa Manjappa Naik.

PSI Suresh Naik visited the spot to investigate about the incident.
