Bhatkal: Bhatkal Taluka Block Congress and Youth Congress Committee took out a procession and staged a protest against the July 28th attack on young men and women in Mangalore’s Padil home stay. They blamed that the BJP rule is mainly responsible for such an attack.

A memorandum was submitted to the State Governor through the Assistant Commissioner in this regard. It was mentioned in the memorandum that from the time the BJP has come to power in the state, the state is subjected to many petty crimes like lathi charge on the farmers, shooting, spreading hated among the people in the name of religion, attack on Masjids and Churches, women oppression, sexual harassment, watching blue film in the assembly, looting the property of State, land scandals and many others. It was said that even the attack on innocent students in Mangalore is also a part of such crime chain of BJP rule. The Congress has demanded the immediate arrest of such people possessing cruel mentality and proper law procedure against the culprits.
