Bhatkal: Afrah Shamool D/O Syed Muzaffer has topped the Bhatkal taluk after the re-evaluation of her SSLC papers. She was previously positioned at number two in the taluk, but the seven additional marks which she received after the re-evaluation helped her achieve the first place in entire Bhatkal taluk.

After the declaration of SSLC results on 17th May, Saujanya Shankar Hegde, a student of Murdeshwar High school was declared as the taluk topper with the aggregate of 96% marks. But according to the recent re-evaluation, Afrah has surpassed Saujanya with the aggregate of 96.64% marks.

Going into details, Mrs. Zareena Kola, the Head Mistress of Naunihal Central School has informed the media that after re-evaluation, Afrah has received two marks in Urdu, four marks in English and one mark in Science, which totally counts for seven additional marks. With this, the total reached 604 out of 625, and the percentage which was 95.52% previously, now increased to 96.64%.

Along with Afrah, various students of the school have also received additional marks after the re-evaluation. The marks of Fathima Arfah Abdur Razzak Ruknuddin increased to 586 from 583, Aysha Ayyub Misbah got 569, Zakira Firdous Ameen Akrami received 569 and Bibi Khadeeja Ikrashan Arabi Musbah received 564 marks. Previously their marks were 559, 552 and 554 respectively.

It should be noted that Naunihal Central School had received hundred percent results both this year and previous year in SSLC examinations.
