Yellapur: A dead body of an unknown woman was reportedly found in plastic bag at Yellapur, Sirsi Road in Uttara Kannda District on Friday.

According to the sources, some people noticed a big plastic bag lying on the roadside at Sirsi Road on Friday. When the people, under the supervision of officials opened the bag, a body was found inside it. It was told that the head of the women was crushed, which might have resulted in her death. It is being suspected that the woman was killed three days ago. The deceased is 35 year old with the height of around 4.8 feet, wearing brown colored nighty and a green skirt. She has a dark complexion with rounded face.

The body was found in a fertilizer bag. It is reported that a few groundnuts were also found in the bag along with the body.

The motive behind kidnapping and killing of the woman is not yet clear and the police are investigating the case.

Sirsi DySP Mr. N D Birje visited the spot. He has said that a special team had been formed to investigate the case which would be lead by Yellapur CPI Arvind Kalagujji.

A case had been registered at Yellapur Police station.
