Sirsi: No Naxal activity was found in Uttara Kannada district and the police are keeping strict vigil, said Superintendent of Police K.T.Balakrishna at Sirsi .

There is heavy traffic problem in Sirsi and Bhatkal and so a proposal had been sent to the Government to set up traffic police station in both the places, he said. Mr. Balakrishna said the police solved most cases of burglary and murders in Sirsi, Mundgod, Karwar, and Honnavar.
