Bhatkal: A person got severely injured in an accident which took place at the National Highway near Tengungudi cross, between a Bolero car and TVS Luna on Saturday around 4pm. Injured had been taken to Manipal after initial treatments at the Bhatkal Government Hospital.

Injured has been identified as Ahmed(35) of Bhendekan, Moosa Nagar. He was on his way to home from Murdeshwar when his vehicle was hit by a Bolero.

The Bolero driver fled from the scene soon after the accident.
