Mangalore: A protest rally against the demand of Sangh parivar's communal outfit for locking-up of Madrasas and Rally against terrorism and communalism was organized here in Mangalore by the Muslim Central Committee from the Central Jama Masjid of Mangalore to the Deputy Commissioner's office yesterday in Mangalore.



A function was organized when the procession reached the Deputy Commissioner's office. Presiding over the function, Mr. KM Mohammed Maswood, the president of the Central Muslim Committee, said that the BJP leaders are violating constitution of India by demanding the lock up of Madrasa. Their attitude was against the constitution of the country. He further said that Islam is against all the types of terrorism. Mr. K M Maswood further said that no illegal activities happen in Madrasas.



The lessons of revering and protecting the constitution of the country are being taught in Madrasa. He said that the people need not develop any type of suspicion in their mind.







Speaking on this occasion, a small child of Iqra Arabic School said that in madrasa he is being taught to respect parent, elders and neighbors. The boy in his speech further said that he is being taught the moral values described in Holy Quraan. He said that the students in Madrasas are taught to provide food for hungry neighborhoods and to help them. He is also taught to respect all the religions.







The famous national song of Sir Mohammed Iqbal “Sare jahan se Accha Hindustan Hamara” was recited.



Speaking on the occasion, Shafee Shaheed of Bangalore Sayeed Association said that all the Madrasas teach their student to be moderate in regard with all the religions, to help in case people are in any trouble, to maintain the peace and harmony, and to be patient. Mr. Shaheed said that is was wrong to have any suspision against the Madrasas which preaches for the peace and love. The khateeb and Imam of the Central Jama Masjid Moulana Ibrahim Darami started his speech with the couplets of famous Kannada poet Mr. Puniya Koti which says the truth is my parents, relatives, if one goes against truth then it will be unacceptable to the god as well.







He further said that the whole world knows the fact that Islam was not against any other religion. He said Islam is the religion which connects the truth.







Talking about the Indian Muslim he said that the Indian Muslim loves and respect the land of India. The proof of the love of the land in the Muslims is that they had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.



Ex- MLA, Mr. U T Kadir, the vice president of the committee Mr. Ibrahim Kodijal, ex-police officer GA Bawa and Haji Abubaker Natikal and other were present on the occasion. Mr. Nooruddin Salmar convened the function while the function came to an end with the Dua by Moulana Ibrahim Darami.
